13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

Yes, No, Maybe So: Yes

Age Group: I would say grades 5 and up but there is some mature content so my rating is grades 7 and up. If you are a VERY mature 5th grader you will be okay,
Don't be fooled by the typical girly-book cover. This book is a tad girly, but isn't swimming in cheesy corny love like other books with girls on the cover. It is actually about a girl who goes on an adventure around Europe, (yes finding love too) guided by clues in little blue envelopes that her starving-artist, recently deceased aunt left her. Before she died, Ginny's aunt left home in America and never turned back, abandoning Ginny without an address to mail her at. Now, Ginny is following her Aunt's challenges, mostly teaching Ginny about confidence, love, art and facing challenges. This is a good read for anyone, but the author really wrote it for girls. (Sorry to my guy readers(If I have guy readers(If I have ANY readers!)))
