Ok so the author, Sara Shepard wrote it very well. I was unable to put it down. Though the plot was filled with unnecessary details on clothing and looks which could annoy the more easily-bored reader, it was essentially and interesting story that had me hooked. The plot focuses on 4 high school junior girls, Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily who deal with the mysterious disappearance of their best friend, Allison DiLaurentis, who hasn't been seen seventh grade. She was the queen of their clique, who ruled the school. Ali knew things about the girls that nobody else did, so when mysterious, threatening notes start being sent to them, blackmailing them with these secrets, and some more current, more juicy ones, the girls think Ali may be back. And if she is, why is she tryting to ruin their lives?
